Yesterday (10-7-2019) while looking over some apps in the google play store of my Airtv mini I noticed that the Hulu app was missing, but I paid it no mind. Today my suspicions were confirmed after reading an article from Cord Cutter News. Which stated the same. This means that if you currently use either of these devices to access Hulu solely you will need to find another way to do so. 

It seems we’ve hit a point in cord cutting where companies really start to measure each other up. Competition is getting fierce and we’re reaching that point I’ve been speaking about for years. The “squeeze out” is about to happen. This past week along we’ve seen close to 1 dozen disputes between streaming companies and content providers over ad space and contracts. 

Hulu is a special case because its owners include Walt Disney and Comcast’s NBC Universal who both have OTT streaming services coming out soon, Disney Plus and Peacock. 

There is currently no news on why the app has been pulled but Otantenna has reached out to Hulu and will keep you guys updated.
