TheĀ GooBangDoo android media box is by far the best android box I’ve used so far. I would only put it second to my Fire Stick.
At first I was a little skeptical when I first purchased it on Amazon due to fact that the last android box I purchased was a complete dud. But this one took the cake. Its features include:
- Amlogic Quad-core A53 cpu
- ARM Mail-450 GPU
- 2GB ram
- 16GB rom
- Wifi 2.4 ghz
- Bluetooth 4.0
The setup process was fairly easy and only took around 5 minutes. Like other android devices it can be linked to a google account. The features resemble those of any android smart phone it even has hotspot which I found no use for as of yet. It has 2 USB inputs and comes with a standard remote and a keypad with touchpad similar to a laptop computer.
The controls are very responsive and almost no lag in the on screen response. It has the ability to be re-rooted and apps like Kodi and Onebox are supported but I’m not a fan of either. You are able to access google play and Apple users can use the Airplay feature.
It comes equipped with a few apps including Miracast which I am a big fan of. It has a slot for micro sd cards so you can transfer media files to it, which can also be done using the bluetooth feature. I don’t see it as a “living room” device like Roku, Chromecast or Fire tv, but it would be a great game room or bedroom device. Overall I say this is pretty useful and would recommend it if you don’t want to dish out big bucks for a smart tv.
