My Take
Even though the majority of the bad reviewers had issues with wi-fi and bluetooth connectivity, in my opinion this can be wrote off as user error, so I wouldn’t personally take those to heart. But if the speaker is totally reliant on an app I would not purchase it. But based on the spec sheet this speaker can also be hard-wired using an audio jack (no optical port). And at the price point of $499 I would expect some level of bluetooth reliability (again, could be user error). I mean how often does the bluetooth on your cell phone or current smart speaker go out. I wouldn’t rate this a definite buy but just a simple buy.
