CBS is a major player in the OTA(over-the-air) and streaming service game, meaning they have products on both sides of the isle. First is CBS’s major network which airs free-to-air across the US, second is the half dozen streaming services they currently operate, both free and paid. Since streaming or “cord cutting” has become popular, what most networks have done is create a streaming service for that specific channel. For example, Bet has a streaming streaming service called Bet+, Showtime has Showtime Now and Pluto TV took it further and created a channel for every sitcom they have. By the way all of these streaming services are owned by CBS.
CBS also owns Paramount+, Noggin, CBSN and CBS Sports HQ. This isn’t a shot at CBS but what I want you to know is that when a network decides to raise prices or go into contract disputes and causes an outage it’s most likely not the carriers fault.
