Fixing a “bricked” router

With streaming being as popular as it has ever been the last thing you want is for your wifi to stop working.

Last week I was updating my routers firmware only to have the power interrupted in the process. After spending half the day searching for fixes online and through the manufacturers website I ended up giving up. Throughout the week I continued to search for solutions and most wanted me to access my computers “command prompt” which I tried with no success so I used my cell phones hotspot feature to watch online content because I wasn’t ready to shell out another $100 for a new router.

I was gonna go on Craiglist or Offerup but, nah this router is fairly new and I’m pretty sure there’s a way to fix it i just have to word it right when searching online.

So I decided to wait til the upcoming weekend to go at it again and after about 5 hours and my kids breathing down my neck I came across  a link on “how to update your router without the recovery disk”. I was searching for ” how to fix a bricked router”. All of the previous methods almost required one to be a computer programmer but this method was so easy I decided to share it with you guys. I hope this helps.
