At the beginning of September I was completely burnt out with my current streaming services. There was nothing for me to watch, I’ve watched nearly every show and movie of interest to me, plus I was just tired of the same old predictable story lines most movies have. The constant content disputes made me feel like I was in a house with 2 parents who can’t get along. I needed a change.
I’m currently subbed to Netflix, Hulu, Disney Plus, Discovery Plus, HBO Max, ESPN Plus and I use free streaming services Pluto and Tubi TV. My first thought was to sign up to another streaming service, Starz to be exact, but that’s what they want so nah, it ain’t happening. A month from now I’ll be signing up for another one and that’s what they want.
To fill in the time I used watching tv I at first started just listening to the radio, for hours I would just vibe out to some good toons and think. After a week or 2 of that I decided to connect my over-the-air antenna and see what channels I could pull in. 56 channels including my favorites, PBS, World and Create TV. Those 3 channels are great for DIY, cooking, world news and documentaries. (Good Clean Content) After a few days of good free tunes and great free tv, I decided, “hey, maybe I should start going to the gym”, and I did. I started waking up at 4:30am and working out at the gym from 5am-6am. Like clockwork.
So far I’ve lost 10 pounds but the biggest improvement is my clarity. I for some reason have a clear mind and I feel untethered. I realized the need for having to find “something” to watch took hours from my life, everyday. I no longer feel behind time because I wasted hours watching tv. I feel as if everyday I’m getting mentally stronger which is the best strength anyone could need.
