Roku is set to launch a dual-band wifi extender to help customers with weak wireless signals. The device is called the Roku Relay and according to a dedicated help section on Roku’s website the device will also have a dedicated app to help customers through the setup process. The app is already available for download in the Android and IOS stores. FYI The mobile app is only used to set up the Roku Relay, you cannot control or watch content through the Relay app.

- Only works on Roku TV’s and Roku players
- Must be running Roku OS 9.1 or higher

Although Roku has a dedicated help page on their website for the device there are no pictures or even a price for this device. News of the device first began to circulate months ago. Has Roku decided that there isn’t a market for a wifi extender that doesn’t work for other devices? Maybe so, I’ll keep you updated.
