Today Tablo announced its new digital over-the-air video recorder the, Tablo Dual HDMI OTA DVR. Staying ahead of competitors, Tablo’s new DVR has features that other devices don’t have. One being its own remote control that controls your televisions power and volume.
Unlike similar devices like the AirTV player, SiliconDust or Amazon Fire TV Recast, the Tablo Dual HDMI can connect directly to any television or AV receiver with HDMI ports. The added bonus is that users can still access their live or recorded content via the free Tablo app. This dual capability is especially convenient for those with an iffy internet connection or those who only get good antenna reception from one side of their house or apt.
The new Tablo Dual HDMI supports 5.1 surround sound, supports 1TB to 8TB USB hard drive giving user up to 1000 hours of HD storage, the option to watch or record up to 2 shows at once and a more detailed over-the-air electronic program guide (EPG). Tablo Dual HDMI is for sale on Tablo’s website for $149.99
