Digital converter boxes are a cord cutters best friend and for many reasons these devices are a must have for many people using free over-the-air television. The obvious perks are the on screen electronic program guide and free DVR features. Though these devices help a lot of people they tend to be behind in technology.

Most standard converters boxes don’t have advanced features such as internet connectivity and wireless listening. There are more expensive models out there but some require a monthly fee or an internet connection, but on the flip side if you’re looking for those kind of features maybe you should just purchase a regular streaming device.

Devices that allow you to Watch your Over-the- Air Channels Anywhere

Wireless listening in todays technological world is almost a must have, there’s a lot of background noise in this world and having the option to block it out with private listening on a pair of bluetooth headphones is a huge perk. How about having the ability to connect your converter box to a sound bar or an A/V receiver? This can be done by adding a simple, easy to install device called a bluetooth transmitter.

What’s a Bluetooth Transmitter?

A bluetooth or wireless transmitter is a device that allows you to give any output device bluetooth capabilities. For example: Roku doesn’t connect to any bluetooth device, so you’ll connect the transmitter to your television and your wireless headphones or sound bar to the transmitter. The same can be done for a converter box, laptop or Fire Stick. Check out my article on the How to connect any device to Bluetooth for more info or how these things work.
