NBC Universal’s CES 2020 Keynote flew straight out the window. Just as I was getting settled in to watch some very detailed info on their new streaming service Peacock the CES screen went to stand-by mode.
Quibi’s Keynote was amazing and gave us detailed incite on what to expect from the service. I was looking to get the same information form NBC Universal but something happened.
Watching from the CES website the Keynote speaker for NBC Universal stumbled maybe one word and then the screen went to stand-by. I understand that nerves could have been the issue, but still I didn’t think it was a big deal. I’m not exactly sure what the case was but when they returned they introduced a panel of actors. The actors were great but they didn’t touch on the key features of NBC’s new streaming service, not even the price was mentioned. They only spoke on this new era of delivering content and how it’s changed there view on Hollywood. It had a talk show vibe to it. The biggest highlight for me was them bringing out Terry Crews, who is always a ball of energy. Nevertheless I hope NBC Universal finds some way to get us the information they were planning to tell us.
