Roku’s mobile app recent update came with a lot of great features. You can now watch Movies and televisions shows from the Roku Channel. You can also cast photos, videos and music from your phone to your television. This feature does not work as a screen mirror so you will not be able to play shows from other video streaming apps like Netflix or Hulu. You can also set any photo on your mobile device as a screensaver. This is great news for people who really want to personalize their Roku player.

The Roku app works on Roku devices running Roku OS version 6.2 or higher, if your device has been disconnected for a long period of time you can manually check for updates here.
