The recently released Amazon cube is getting a price cut. Originally priced at $119.99 the cube has been cut to $79.99. This comes in the wake of the well anticipated Fire tv Recast which is set to be release November 14th of this year.
The Cube which is touted as the ultimate television companion can here voice commands in any direction, control your tv, surround sound and set top box. From a convenience standpoint the cube is definitely the lead dog but for most having to find a place to sit the device can be a concern, in terms of wanting a clean look. The fire Stick is hidden behind your television but the cube is too bulky to hide behind a television. And the features aren’t that far ahead for most people to make the switch.
The question to why Amazon has lowered the price is , are sales not what they expected or is this like a gift to those planning on getting the Fire tv Recast?
