With so many options available, finding the right show or movie to watch can be a daunting task. Most consumers subscribe to more than one streaming platform which makes the simple task of “just watching TV” feel like studying for a College essay.
Browsing through streaming platforms, reading descriptions and trying to remember that great movie your friend Dave told you about 4 years ago can drive you nuts.
Maybe you’ll call Dave, then maybe his 5 year old son picks up the phone rambling on and the only 2 words you can make out is SpongeBob and Squidward. Then suddenly you hear a loud thump because little Timmy just threw the phone at the back of Dave’s head because it’s bed time. Dave starts yelling, picks up the phone, sees a number he doesn’t recognize and hangs up.
Now you’re sitting there with a phone in one hand and remote control in the other trying to figure out what the f*** just happened. “Why didn’t Dave tell me he had a son?” Well, Dave’s not your friend, he’s just co-worker and the movie he recommended was Pacifier .

Many Cord Cutters tend to look for streaming service as appose to looking for Genres. Knowing what type of content/Genre you like is key to becoming a successful cord cutter.
Knowing this will save you time on trying to find what to watch. For example: Whenever I’m in the mood for a good movie or tv show, whatever platform I’m browsing on, whether it be Netflix or Hulu. I just type in Thriller movies or Crime Dramas. I know no matter what search results I get, I’m going to like it.
Happy surfing folks. And be sure to follow my Social profiles listed above and on YouTube for Streaming Tips and Cord Cutter Tech.
