I’m not the one for fluff and big words so I’ll just jump right into it. I purchased the Amazon Echo Show 2nd gen at my local Best Buy, for the exact same price as advertised online so that’s a plus.
The packaging to me was very impressive and so was the unit itself. This being my first Amazon tablet in over 5 years I really didn’t know where to start but soon learned that even though it looks like a tablet it doesn’t operate like one.
For example; there are no on screen apps, you have to enable the “skill” from an app on your phone which is new to me. And being an android user I was expecting to see some familiar apps, but that wasn’t the case. Most of the skills are from 3rd party developers.
After a few hours of messing around with the voices commands I pretty much figured out and got use to using this thing. It has a pretty extensive range of commands, you just have to figure out how to word correctly so It’ll understand. What’s even better is that you can have Alexa pick your winning lottery numbers.
