Last week I went out on a limb and decided to purchase the HotCat indoor amplified antenna that claims to have a 130+ mile range…. indoors. So after placing my order I received the antenna within 4 days which is great.

After receiving the antenna I noticed it was smaller than my U Must Have indoor amplified 80 mile range antenna. Which was not a problem because in some areas the smaller Clear TV antenna does better than the U Must Have. I noticed that the wiring as far as the coaxial thickness is very similar to U.M.H, which in my opinion is not good for holding signal strength, but I’m not an expert. The package came with the antenna, amplifier and user manual which was well writing.

I decided to test the antenna with and without the amplifier. And in my particular area, since I’m so close to the towers the amplifier degrades my signal. But I ran the test anyway to see what will happen.

So the “hot channel” in my area is PBS which out of all the antennas I tested wasn’t able to be picked up but by only one and that’s the U Must Have antenna.

HotCat scanned with the amplifier gave me over 30 channel but no PBS.

HotCat scanned without the amplified still gave me over 30 channels but still no PBS.

After these results I decided to check a couple of DTV mapping websites to see how far the PBS tower is from me and though they all display different distance the farthest was only 4 miles which is within HotCats range. You could argue that my building is facing the wrong way but my current antenna is able to pick up PBS and its sub-channels.

So for my area which is pretty close to the towers the HotCat wouldn’t be a better option than my current antenna, but at $20 the HotCat is less than half the price I paid for my current antenna. Which I believe is a great deal. I’m currently testing the HotCat HDTV antenna in Rural areas so check back for updates.

Thanks for giving your ideas. I’d personally also like to state that video games have been ever before evolving. Today’s technology and enhancements have served create genuine and fun games. These kind of entertainment video games were not actually sensible when the real concept was being attempted. Just like other styles of know-how, video games also have had to progress by means of many generations. This is testimony to the fast continuing development of video games.
