For many users the biggest drawback to owning a Roku device is the remote control battery life. This issue tends to be apparent with users who have the more advanced wi-fi remote. Think of your Roku remote as an infant who’s constantly looking for its parent. Wi-fi remotes know when the Roku device is not within range or powered on. Many users use the usb port on their television to power their Roku device, but what many users don’t realize is that when you turn off your television, you’re turning off your Roku device. This in turn sends your Roku remote into search mode where it’s constantly looking for the Roku device.

To fix this issue simply connect your Roku device into a power outlet.
