On your Roku remote press the home button

Next, go to settings and press OK

Next, scroll down to System and press OK

Once you’re there, select ‘System Update‘. Notice in the bottom right side of the screen it shows you what date and time it last checked for updates. This is a neat and important feature as it lets you know if your Roku player is communicating with Roku’s servers.

Lastly select ‘Check Now‘, notice the current software version displayed at the bottom right of the screen you can verify if this is current by googling ” Roku’s latest software version or select here.
