That’s right, the official YouTube app is now available on Fire TV. For a while Amazon would not carry any Google products at all, I mean NONE. Try searching ‘Google Home’ on Amazon you’ll get Amazon’s products in the results. This is mainly because Google and Amazon are competitors, but now Amazon has decided to carry YouTube on Fire TV platform again. I believe its mainly because YouTube has become the place to go for most of the world. Ever since cord cutting has taking off a lot of already legit famous actors and comedians have taking to the platform creating podcasts and sharing parts of their personal lives with fans.
The new app will have expanded Alexa voice controls. So for example you would say ” Alexa, play Freakin’ Reviews on YouTube” and that’s it. Just say ” On YouTube” at the end of whatever phrase you say. You can spot the official app by looking at the developer. It will say Google LLC.
Be sure to follow me on YouTube for more cord cutter news and tech.
