We all know there are tons of options for cord cutters when it comes to antennas. Many people who are new to this world find it hard to find the right products due to the fact that most pretty much say the same thing “get TV free” without explaining how. A lot products put a lot of fluff on the packaging without telling people the most important factor when it comes to buying an antenna, and that is the mile range.

I was shopping at Wal-Mart and as I was approaching the “self checkout” about 15 feet away a glare hit my eye and when I went over to investigate it was yet another indoor antenna, this one was gold plated.

First impression was woooow this looks amazing, but then as I went over the packaging to read the features I seen nothing about its mile range which made me giggle as I instantly thought to myself “ok here we go with the up-selling” but this one has taking it to a whole new level with the gold. This particular display only had 2 remaining so I grabbed one and looked around for more, there were none. This antenna is selling fast.

So without even seeing the price, (that’s right this product sold out before they could even put the price tag up) I bought one. Like many other antennas I wasn’t able to see the actual mile range until I opened it and looked through the users manual. 30 miles it says.  So I instantly go online to look for reviews and there were none again new product. But I did come across an older version of this antenna that had horrible reviews with claims of it not even working.

So after I ran a few channel scans I have to say I am actually impressed with the way this antenna performed. Compared to other antennas I tested this one was second best only to my U Must Have indoor amplified 80 mil range antenna. It even beat out my Hd Clear Vision antennas. Which were second best at the time.

The antenna comes with a base which feels pretty solid and has some weight to it and suction cup for window mounts, a coaxial cord and user manual. My favorite part is that the coaxial cable is removable so if you have your own you can use a shorter cable and not have all the excess cabling to deal with.
