Walmart to Enter Streaming Services Industry

We all know Walmart to be a retail giant, but will they add streaming giant to their resume? In recent news it was reported that Walmart was looking at getting into the field but will it be too risky for them. We all know they have the capital to do so, meaning the money to buy out smaller streaming companies to develop their own. Or they could just merge with an already established company like tubi tv.

Walmart currently owns Vudu which is a pay for play streaming service. With that said we know they have access to film and media rights which I see as the biggest obstacle for starting a pay tv service starting fresh. With Netflix, Amazon, Philo, and many others already in the market at full steam I ponder, what Walmart would have to do to actually enter the market with success.

Well number 1 the price would have to be cheaper and 2 offer a free version, but… with that being said will that knock out the little guys maybe so. But like I mentioned before if Walmart was to buy or merge with the lesser platforms I would bet my bottom dollar they’d be top dog in no time.
