Welcome to Rockwell Falls, population 436. Horror films can be a hit a miss. Most nowadays have that “low budget” feel. Great scripts but bad acting, I can name a few but…. not today.

There have been some breakout low budget films over the years, ‘I Spit on your Grave‘, ‘He Never Died and the ‘Final Destination‘ franchise. Rarely do you come across one that’s worth watching 5 or 6 times and is family friendly.

Population 436

Population 436 is a 2006 horror/mystery starring Limp Bizkitz’ Fred Durst and May’s Jeremy Sisto. The film centers around a mysterious small town named Rockwell Falls. Census taker (Jeremy Stisto) visits the small town for what he thought was an average day of collecting data. Welcomed by loving, family oriented citizens and an attractive young lady he has no idea what’s in store for him.

What Makes this Film Rock

Unlike many other Horror films, this one is family friendly. You don’t have boobs flopping all over the place or bad language spurred out every 10 seconds. Great acting and a slow build allows viewers to follow along and understand what is actually happening. The dialogue really stands out in this one. Other horror films use graphics to draw the audience in. The ending is satisfying.
