YouTube TV is currently averaging one price hike per year and their price hikes aren’t pennies they’re at least $5. In 2019 YouTube TV was going for $49.99 per month, but then in 2020 they hiked the price up to $64.99 per month which you can see in my June 2020 article that states “as long as a streaming service is getting their content from someone else or providing locals and sports the prices will continue to rise”.

DirecTV Now and T-Mobile T vision broke the cord cutting mold with streaming prices starting at close to $100 per month. You can have a brand new oven but as long as the recipe is the same, nothing will change and I wrote on this in my ‘Who’s to blame or High Streaming Prices’ article. As long as the streaming services are getting their content from the same media companies that provided content to the cable and satellite companies the price will always rise. For more on how this structure works check out my Corporate Shakedown article.

YouTube TV’s new price is $72.99 per month but they are offering new subs a discount at $62.99. (The same structure cable and satellite companies have)
