In the era of streaming, broadcasters of ota networks are keeping up viewership by rolling out new channels with memorable and great content similar to what’s offered by streaming services. I’ve seen first hand how switching to a streaming device such as Roku can be confusing for someone who is use to having everything in one place with cable and satellite tv.

New OTA Channels

  1. Defy TV: Owned by Katz Broadcasting Defy TV airs unscripted shows from the library of A&E Networks, including Swamp People, American Pickers, Ax Men, Counting Cars, Forged in Fire and Pawn Stars. (See other stations Katz Broadcasting owns)
  2. Rewind TV: Owned by Nexstar, Rewind’s lineup consists of sitcoms, including 227, Becker, Caroline in the City, Dear John, Designing Women, Diff’rent Strokes, The Drew Carey Show, The Facts of Life, Family Ties, It’s a Living, Growing Pains, Head of the Class, The Hogan Family, The John Larroquette Show, Mork & Mindy, Murphy Brown, NewsRadio( starring Joe Rogan), Sabrina the Teenage Witch, Suddenly Susan, Who’s the Boss?, and Wings.
  3. MeTV+: Owned by Weigel Broadcasting, MeTV plus is an extension of MeTV which makes it available in more markets.
  4. Twist: Owned by Tegna, Inc, Twist airs mostly reality and factual lifestyle tv.
  5. True Real: TrueReal airs reality programs from the library of A&E Networks, including Storage Wars, Little Women: LA, Intervention, Hoarders, My Crazy Ex and Wahlburgers.
