Diary of a Future President is a comedic-drama starring Elena (played by Tess Romero), a 12-year old Cuban American who inspires on one day becoming the President of the United States. Similar to Sex and the City, the show is narrated by Elena, who chronicles here day to day activities. And showcases the ups and downs of a female ethnic middle schooler who aspires on becoming the next President.

Actress Gina Rodriguez (Annihilation) plays future Elena, and is mostly shown through flashforwards to be the future President of the United States. She is slated to have a more prominent role as the show progresses.

Elena’s widowed mother is played by actress Selenis Leyva (Spiderman Homecoming).

Season 1 garnered extremely positive reviews and the show was nominated for a total of 5 awards. Winning just one. Currently the show sits at 100 Percent on Rotten Tomatoes, 4.4 star rating on Google and a 6 of 10 IMDb rating.
