DAZN is looking to launch its service in the U.S. and is starting with a big event. DAZN pronounced “Da Zone” currently operates in Austria, Germany, Japan, Switzerland and Canada. The service already hosts big sporting events. DAZN which is available on fire tv, roku, playstation 3 and 4, android tv, apple tv and many others already has a $1 billion dollar deal with Matchroom boxing which is based in England is looking to grow in the states.
Sources say that the service will be $9.99 per month and begin in September of 2018. The news hit ears when they announced the hosting of the Joshua VS. Povetkin fight.
Closing thoughts
With all of these streaming services available offering what seems to be a la cart channels, would you really be saving money by picking and choosing, or would it be easier and less stressful to just stick with pay tv and not have to bargain hunt services.
With so many services available how do you decide? Will all of this saturation confuse people and send them running back to pay tv. I mean the thought of having to setup autopay and keep track of passwords for 5-10 streaming services makes me want to give up before I start. My advice of course would be to forget the latter and stick with over the air tv.
