The new TiVo Stream 4K was just released and one thing I noticed during setup is that there is no TV volume and power functions setup option. My guess is that this was a major oversight and hopefully will be addressed SOON. Listed below are the steps needed to take to program your new TiVo Stream 4k to your television.
- On your remote, press and hold the TiVo and Power button until you get a solid red light
- Next, press 0,9,9,9 on the keypad. This put the reote into search mode
- Next, slowly press the channel up button until your television shuts off.
- And last, press the OK button in the center of the remote control to lock the code in
That’s it. Now for this device this method isn’t 100% reliable. Many of my viewers have said that this works for a few key presses then stops. I contacted TiVo and it seems as if they are unaware of the device not having an on-screen remote setup. I will keep you updated on the situation.
