NextGen TV Launches in 10 More Markets

NextGen TV or ATSC 3.0 is the next level of o-t-a television. With Atsc 3.0 viewers get better picture quality, better sound and more viewing options. For more info on ATSC 3.0 and available devices check out my “What is ATSC 3.0” article.

Over 25 markets have transitioned over to the ATSC 3.0 format this year. Below is the most recent additions to the family.

  • Fox Television Stations’ KTXH (My Network, channel 20) and owned-and-operated KRIV (FOX, channel 26).
  • Nexstar Media Group, Inc.’s KIAH (CW, channel 29).
  • Univision’s KFTH (UniMas, channel 67) and owned-and-operated KXLN (Univision, channel 45).
  • ABC owned-and-operated KTRK (ABC, channel 13).
  • Graham Media Group’s KPRC (NBC, channel 2).
  • Tegna’s KHOU (CBS, channel 11).
  • NBCUniversal-owned KTMD (Telemundo, channel 47).
  • University of Houston’s KUHT (PBS, channel 2).
