With ATSC 3.0 nearly 4 years away from full completion, many consumers find it hard to make the transition over to cord cutting in fear of losing their favorite local sub-channels. Sub-channels are the best because most of them are genre based and offer programming that the big Networks won’t show, such as classic shows like Perry Mason, Home Improvement, In The Heat of The Night and more.

The U.S. has more than 100 Over-the-Air channels and in this article we’re only gonna focus on OTA Sub-Channels.


Laff TV: Comedy

  • TV Shows and Films
  • Laff TV is available in 46 states/166 media markets including Washington DC and Puerto Rico
  • They no longer have an android app but their IOS app has a 1.9 star rating and doesn’t let you watch programming.
  • According to their website Laff TV is available on a number of Cable and Satellite TV services. SEE HERE. Dish, Spectrum, Verizon and more.
  • As of January 2020 Laff TV does not have a standalone app for streaming devices.

MeTV: Classic TV Series

  • Available in 49 States including Puerto Rico
  • Classic TV Shows and Films (mostly TV shows)
  • MeTV has  Android (3.4 stars) and IOS (2.4 stars) apps but you can’t watch full episodes, only clips.
  • You can watch full episodes from their website using most web browsers
  • As of January 2020 MeTV does Not have a standalone app for streaming devices
